Kate McDonald Kester
Kate McDonald Kester resides in Winter Garden, Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from Oregon State University and a Master’s degree in Marketing Communication with an emphasis in Leadership from the University of Denver.
Kate serves as the Marketing Coordinator for David Weekley Homes, one of the nation’s largest privately held homebuilders. In her role, she oversees marketing strategy and community engagement for eleven luxury home communities throughout Central Florida, managing multimillion-dollar campaigns that connect families to the places they call home.
Before joining David Weekley Homes, Kate’s career spanned leadership roles in hospitality, real estate, and nonprofit marketing—including several years at Walt Disney World, where she honed her passion for storytelling, guest experience, and creating moments that make people feel seen and valued.
Her heart for service and inclusion runs deep. As a cousin to three adults on the autism spectrum, Kate is passionate about creating opportunities that empower individuals with special needs to live independently, confidently, and with dignity. Through her work with Home Life, she hopes to combine her background in marketing and hospitality with her personal passion for advocacy—helping strengthen awareness, partnerships, and community support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Kate believes that every person deserves a place to belong and a life filled with purpose, joy, and connection. She is honored to help further Home Life’s mission of creating communities where compassion and opportunity grow hand in hand.
